The expansion within the baccarat market drove the 8.5% year-on-year increase in Nevada gambling revenue to $1.34bn (£1.07bn/€1.25bn) in February.
Last year in February, Nevada's revenue was $1.24 billion. In January, the highest start to a calendar year in Nevada history, it was 4.7% greater than $1.28bn.
With $827.6 million in revenue for the month, slots had a 0.6% gain compared to 2023. The multi-denomination slot games contributed $536.6 million, while the penny slot machines contributed $207.6 million.
But in February, only slots that accept several denominations saw an increase. Compared to other game kinds in this category, revenue was lower.
In February, baccarat saw the most growth. At $180.1m, revenue increased by 75.5%. Craps revenue increased by 22.0% to $44.7m, while blackjack revenue increased by 15.6% to $132.5m.
